It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Dodd on 16th September, 2026 aged 88 years, widowed from Philip Dodd these past three years. Sylvia passed peacefully at home, with Gary by her side, aided by the Shakespeare Hospice at Home service and the local District nurses.
Sylvia fought a battle with breast cancer and a developing memory impairment, staying cheerful throughout, even moving from Nuneaton to Stratford-upon-Avon 15 months ago.
Sylvia leaves behind her sons Gary and Nick Denby, her sister-in-law Lorna Dodd and a nephew Steve Hodkinson. Sylvia had a career as a Senior Administrator, latterly of Ruymps Builders Merchants in Nuneaton, becoming Travis Perkins.
For those wishing to attend Sylvia's Remembrance service, we ask that you 'wear something blue', if you are able to do so. The service is also available on a Zoom livestream, should you prefer to attend on-line.
