It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Beverley Ann Ireland who very sadly passed away at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea on the 17th October 2025 aged 69 years.
Bev was an amazing and dedicated Mum to Steve, Mother-in-law to Kayleigh, Nannie to her precious 'little darling' Freddie, beloved Sister to Elaine, Steve, Joanna, Steph and Mark, as well as a loving Auntie to 13 nieces and nephews and Great-Auntie of 17. She was a very cherished friend to many people and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.
Bev was a big sports fan, particularly football- the televised matches were top of her rehabilitation plan and kept her going throughout her hospital stay.
To celebrate Bev's life, we would love for you to join us at her funeral service on Friday 21st November. In keeping with Bev's bright personality and love of football, we would kindly ask for as much colour to be worn as possible, with football shirts very welcome also.
Rather than flowers, we are asking for donations to be made in Bev's name to the Friends of the Royal Marsden; a charity close to our hearts. This charity directly helps the patients who are going through treatment and hospital stays at The Royal Marsden in Chelsea, as well as supporting their families. The Friends of the Royal Marsden provides activities such as live musicians on the wards and art therapy sessions with patients during hospital stays, they also provide gift bags to patients and ensure that funds are used to also support family areas within the hospital, including waiting rooms and a relatives room for family members to stay in the hospital if required. All of these things mentioned were provided to Bev and our family during her 5 months in the hospital and we are all eternally grateful of the support they gave, so we would love to be able to give something back to keep that support going for other patients and families at a very difficult time.
