John died suddenly at home on 18 August 2025 shortly after moving house.
He will be remembered for his quiet, reasoned calm and wisdom; his Christian faith and contribution to the work of his Church; and his love walking which was legendary.
Family flowers only. Donations would be gratefully received in lieu to: Ataxia UK (John's neurological condition); and the Lifeboat Institute (RNLI).
