PAULINE COOK was born in Armley Leeds and she moved to Bradford in the late 1960's with her best friend Carol. Pauline was a wonderful caring and doting single mother. She brought her three children Peter, Lynn and Gary up on the Canterbury estate.
Her life was committed to caring for her family and throughout her life she worked at various cafes including the snack bar in Rawson market.
Pauline's last job was as a cleaner at Highroyds where she was dearly loved and remembered as the one who said it as it is.
Pauline's final most important job was taking care of her beloved mother Irene whom was living with dementia. She pulled out all the stops to give her mum the best life in her final years which included getting a stair lift fitted into her property on Halcyon way.
Elvis and Reggae music were always playing on her record player.
Pauline loved her annual trips to Benidorm with her close friend Pauline and would also take regular trips to Blackpool with her life long friend May.
Laughter and Malteasers was Pauline's medicine, especially in her final few years. Her annual Christmas trips with her beloved family to the Bulls Head pub for Karaoke and a good boogie were moments that were cherished.
Pauline's ability to laugh over nothing and create joy in any room was her superpower.
Pauline was a sister to Michael and Irene and a loving Nanna to David, Gaynor, Lee, Stacey, Natalie, Lindsay, Peter, Joe and Ashlee. Great Nan to Holly, George ,Thea and Lucas and a loving Auntie far and near.
Her smile will last in memories forever.
The family would love for bright colours to be worn to reflect Pauline's personality!
Paulines family would like to invite you to join them after the service at Fields Social Club, Hollingwood Lane, Bradford, BD7 2RE to raise a glass, share stories and celebrate Pauline's life.
If you wish to make a donation in the memory of Pauline, it will be for the benefit of The Memory Tree, Bradford - Dementia Support in the local Community.
