Phil Hamblin, beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away peacefully after a short illness at Cedar Court Care Home on the 19th of April 2024 aged 70 years, surrounded by his family. Phil is profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Phil's family warmly invite you to join them for a funeral Mass at St Mary's Church in Guildford on the 17th of May, starting at 11am. Family request that everyone wear bright colours, and please could men wear shorts as an homage to Phil who wore them most days of the year. After the service, everyone is welcome to the Fairlands Club for refreshments and to continue sharing memories of Phil. Close family will join you after the committal where Phil will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to Cancer Research UK online via the link below, there will also be a cash donation collection at the church for the staff at Cedar Court who took such great care of Phil in the last days of his life, going above and beyond to make sure his family could stay constantly by his side.
