Anthony David Whittaker, passed away at the Royal Surrey County Hospital on the 19th May 2024, aged 70 years. A short ceremony to celebrate his life, followed by the interment of his ashes, will be held at Clandon Wood, Epsom Road, Guildford GU4 7FN (or for older Satnavs GU4 7TT) at 2pm on Friday, June 28th. This will be followed by refreshments and a chance to meet and reminisce at Jay and Rosie Whittaker's house, 6 Springhaven Close, Guildford GU1 2JP. RSVP to jaywhittaker@me.com
Tony was a much loved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He loved family, travelling, music and reading, and was devoted in caring for his parents in their last years. When illness struck in his last three years, he was very grateful for the lovely countryside in West Horsley, the care and friendship of the staff at Dene Place Care Home, and the visits, phone calls and emails from family and friends.
