It is with sadness that we announce the passing of John, in hospital, aged 74. He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends and all who knew him through the church, music and wider communities.
John died with his wife, Gloria, at his side. Sensing he was close to death, Gloria played John some of the music selected for his funeral. He took his last breath listening to the Sanctus from Bach's B minor Mass.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday 22 July, 11am at St Saviours Church, St Albans. This will be followed by a private service at West Herts Crematorium. All are invited to join us at St Paul's Church, St Albans, for afternoon refreshments at 2pm.
