It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gavin Reid on 23rd October 2025. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
Gavin was a cherished member of his family and community, remembered for his kindness, generosity, good humour and passion for football. He touched the lives of many with his friendship and dedication to his family and friends.
Please join us to celebrate Gavin's life at Park Wood Crematorium on Friday 21st November at 2:15pm, followed by a gathering at Berties, Elland. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Wakefield Hospice, where Gavin received wonderful care in his last weeks. Please feel free to dress as you feel comfortable – if you prefer not to wear black Gavin’s favourite colour was blue, and any football shirts are welcome (but no England or Celtic shirts please).
