Mr Robert Darren Marchant of Bradford sadly passed away at his home address on Monday 23rd December, aged 51.
Rob was born 9th February 1973 weighing a whopping 10.15 Oz.
He lived in East Bowling until he went to Henshaws College for the blind in Harrogate, at one time he was doing a gardening course in Bowling Park.
He loved power lifting and competed in the special Olympics in Sheffield in 1993 where he won a silver medal. He did lots of competitions and won numerous trophy's and awards.
Rob really enjoyed looking after the birds in the aviary with his dad in later life, Rob didn't get out much but had his own little gym in his house where he was settled and happy loved listening to Liverpool play and was always up to date on the latest news and enjoyed discussing world event's, loved his music and had a VERY healthy appetite .
Rob leaves behind his mum, his brother Paul, sisters Anne Chris and Angela his brother's in laws Graham Paul and Alex and lots of nieces nephews and great nieces and nephews and I might add he knew every single age and birthday.
We would like to say big thank to the carers that looked after Rob at his home.
Rob's funeral service will take place on Tuesday 21st January, Shay Grange Crematorium at 2:15pm. Family have asked if you would like to wear a touch of red on the day to honour Rob, please feel free to do so.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in the memory of Rob would be much appreciated, with all monies going to Guide Dogs. A donations box will be left at the back of the chapel on the day of the service for this purpose.
