John sadly passed away on Wednesday 24th January 2024, aged 85 years.
He was a much loved husband to the late Veronica, loving father to Claire and Mark, and cherished grandad to Lucy and Patrick: many would consider John their loyal and lifelong friend and he will be missed by many.
He lived and worked in Suffolk for most of his life and in that time, following a successful career in plant hire, ran a successful business in the same industry over several years. He was very active in pursuing his love of sport - particularly cricket and golf - and played for local cricket club Sudbury with distinction in the 1970s and served as chairman and in other non-playing roles over the years.
Funeral to take place on Friday 1st March at 11.30am, Abbey Chapel, West Suffolk Crematorium, IP28 6RR.
There will be a reception at the Manger, Bradfield Combust IP30 0LW.
