Denise Yvonne Hopkins, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, dear sister, and loyal friend, passed away on June 24, 2024, aged 79 Years surrounded by her family who meant the world to her. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, David Hopkins, her three sons, Jason, James, and Thomas Hopkins, her adoring grandchildren, William, Alyssa, Olivia, Amelie and Courtney, her sisters Sally and Madeline, her daughter in-laws Diane and Lynne and her circle of friends who held a special place in her heart.

Denise's life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to caring for others as a nurse. From her early days in London to her years at The Chaseley Trust and the DGH in Eastbourne, she touched countless lives with her compassion and dedication to her patients. Her kindness and skill as a nurse were unmatched, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

While Denise's professional achievements were remarkable, her greatest joy came from her family and friends. She and David shared a love that endured the test of time, creating a warm and inviting home for their children, grandchildren, and friends alike. Denise's laughter, love, and unwavering support were the cornerstones of her relationships, and her bond with her sisters Sally and Madeline was a source of strength and joy throughout her life.

Denise leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be treasured by her family and friends. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but the memories of her kindness and warmth will continue to bring comfort and joy to those she leaves behind.

A funeral service celebrating Denise's life will be held on 12th July 2024 at Eastbourne Crematorium 15:00 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Dementia UK in her memory. 

May she rest in peace, knowing she was surrounded by love and will always hold a special place in the hearts of her family, sisters, and friends.
