It is with great sadness that the family of Penelope (Penny) Ann Taylor announces her passing after a sudden decline in health after a long illness. Penny passed away peacefully at Addenbrookes Hospital on 26th March, 2025, aged 85 years.
Penny was a devoted mother to Neil and David and proud grandmother to Wayne, Laura, Tiffany, Jack, William and Christopher and will be lovingly remembered.
Penny taught at The City of Ely College and Sixth Form Centre for more than twenty years and after retiring remained active in Ely as a Cathedral guide, a member of the Ely Choral Society and other local organisations which also enabled her to make many valued friends.
The funeral service will be held at Ely Cathedral at 10:30am on Tuesday 22nd April. All are welcome to attend. Please make any charitable donations to Blood Cancer UK.
