David was born in Bradford on the 5th January 1963.
He was born to Annie and Leslie Betteridge.
David lived with Annie and then lived with Enna Hunt when his mother was too ill to look after him. We had David to stay in respite whilst he lived with Enna from about 1989. David came to live with us in July 2003.
He liked playing his tapes and later cds. He had a particular love of music enjoying 80s music and queen. He definitely didn’t like lighthouse people and would tell us it was rubbish.
David was a man of few words but the words he did have communicated a strong message. Particularly fish and chips which given a chance he would eat every day!!
David's funeral service will take place on Thursday 27th March at Allerton congregational Church 2:00pm, followed by a committal service at Shay Grange Crematorium at 3:00pm.
Family flowers only please. Donations in the memory of David would be much appreciated, with all monies going for the benefit of Down Syndrome Association. A donations box will be left at the exit of the chapel on the day of the service for this purpose.
