Oshea Carey

 
It is with the greatest of sadness that we announce the passing of Oshea Carey. He died peacefully, surrounded by close family on Friday the 27th of June 2025 at Magnolia House, in Birmingham Children's Hospital. 
 
Oshea was the much loved son of Sukhy, brother to Sianna and Aiya, and nephew to many Aunties and Uncles. He was the most endeared grandson of all the Nanis and Granny Joyce. His absence will be felt by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed by many.
 
He was a bright, intellectual boy who was a Year 8 student at Queen Mary's Grammar School. He was a longstanding supporter of Scuderia Ferrari 
Formula 1 team and a fan of Lego. Oshea was an avid reader, participating in QM's national reading competition where his team came 2nd place in the 2024 submission. He was known to be a sharp minded, and sometimes sharp worded, witty boy; bringing laughter and insight into every conversation. His battle with Crohn's saw him fight with courage and strength but in spite of his bravery, he developed fatal heart failure. After a gruelling 46 days in intensive care, supported by an amazing team of professionals, he succumbed to the toll things had taken on his body. 
 
He will always be the most inspirational and warm hearted young man known to us and a star that shone so bright. No words can do him justice and he leaves behind a legacy that will echo for generations.
