On 27th August, Bridget sadly passed away, aged 89. A pillar of her local community and family, her humour, spirit and single-mindedness will be sorely missed.
Bridget was born near Mullingar in County Westmeath, and although she spent around 70 years of her life in London, she remained as Irish as the day she left home. Even in her last couple of months in hospital, she firmly told someone 'you can't speak to me like that, I'm Irish!' - if you knew Bridget, I'm sure you can imagine her saying this!
Bridget was known for her storytelling and sense of humour, so we will come together on 24th September to celebrate her life and share our favourite stories at the Colby Arms in Gipsy Hill at 13:30 after the church service and commital (details below).
