Beloved Son, Brother, Fiancé, Bass Player, Political Historian, Radio Presenter, Writer, Journalist and Actor.
Chris passed away unexpectedly on Friday, 29th May 2026, of some unknown bodily complication, probably exacerbated by the hopeless season that Liverpool FC have just had.
As the firstborn to Ann and Laurie, Chris was immediately dubbed “Our favourite child”. He is survived by his mum, younger brother Steve and much, much younger sisters Helen and Sarah. Chris’s demise will now allow his family to literally emerge from his 6’5” shadow and they are free to embellish his memory as much as they like.
Although a less-than-average life span, Chris did not live an average life. He said what he wanted to say, laughed inappropriately whenever he could, learned what he wanted to learn, and loved who he wanted to love.
Chris was a cheeky, kind and caring man who enjoyed performing and learning, but his greatest enjoyment was talking to his many friends and making people feel seen.
So… please join us for the committal at North East Surrey Crematorium, followed by the ‘After Show Party’ at The Earl Beatty in Motspur Park.
The family and Celia encourage guests to wear a big smile and a band t-shirt of their choice to honour Chris’s love of music.
