In Loving Memory of James
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved son/brother, James, on March 31st, Easter Sunday.
James fought a courageous battle against colon cancer, fueled by a rare and aggressive BRAF gene mutation. Despite the odds, he faced each challenge with unwavering determination, showing BRAF where to go and surviving almost four years.
James approached his illness with true bravery and resilience, enduring chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery, and other treatments with grace. His strict diet and punishing exercise regimen not only reflected his determination but also provided him with the physical and mental strength to never stop fighting!
Throughout his journey, James was buoyed by the love and support of his family, true friends, and dedicated colleagues. We are immensely grateful for each comforting word and gesture during the toughest times.
The outpouring of wonderful comments and messages about James has highlighted the impact he had on so many lives, both personally and professionally. His kindness, strength, and genuine spirit touched hearts far and wide.
In honour of James, we have chosen St Christopher's Hospice as our charity. The staff at St Christopher's provided James with compassionate care and support, ensuring his comfort and dignity in his final days. James, in his characteristic humour, often remarked, "I rinsed them of drugs!" This is our opportunity to give back to an organization that relies on charitable donations to continue its vital work.
As a family, we have pledged to participate in the St Christopher’s May walk on Sunday, May 12th, as 'Team Mote'. We extend a warm invitation to anyone who wishes to join us – please sign up!
Your generous donation will honour James's memory and support the invaluable services provided by St Christopher's Hospice. Thank you for considering a contribution.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Colin, Kathryn, Sarah, and Thomas.
