It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen on 31st August 2024, aged 98 years. She will be dearly missed by all her loving family, friends and all who knew her.
Today is all about my Mum, Eileen, who throughout her life was known for her happy, smiling, kind disposition and love of life.  She embraced every opportunity that came her way. She loved walking her dogs, seeing family and friends, visiting the shops and parks of London, bowling, church activities, going to Classical Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and, in later years, travelling to France, Italy, Germany, Belgium and the Spanish Islands. Age was never a reason for not doing something. At 90 she travelled to Mallorca and enjoyed, amongst many other things, a walk to the top of Cap de Formentor and dancing on the beach in the moonlight! However, as with all lives, she knew great sadness as well, not least the loss of Heather, her eldest daughter to Myeloma, a rare but terrible and incurable disease, at just 67 with so much of her life still to live.  We very much wanted Heather to be part of today’s celebration of Mum’s life and request donations to Myeloma UK (instead of flowers), which may be made via the link provided below, as this seems entirely fitting.  Your donations will be very much appreciated by them and us.

Dress code: This is a celebration of Eileen’s happy life so bright and cheerful attire would be appreciated (no black please).
