Ian passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on the 31st December 2023 following his battle with Motor Neurone Disease.
Beloved husband to Andrea, dearly loved father to Gemma, Gail and Jenny, much loved father in law to James and Asten. Devoted grandfather to Eoin, Alice, Clara and Ian, and a very dearly loved son, brother, uncle, colleague, mentor and friend.
Ian left his mark on many people having spent his life caring for and educating others and even continued to do so after his diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease right up until the end by sharing his story on the Cardiff City message boards with fellow bluebirds. The time he spent in the military and as part of the ambulance service will never be forgotten.
He showed great resilliance and strength in the face of such a terrible hand and will be dearly missed by everybody who knew and loved him.
The service will be followed by a wake at RTB club in Briery Hill, Ebbw Vale
