A Bennett & Sons are here for you

The first step in arranging a funeral is choosing the right funeral director. We’ve been helping families arrange funeral services in Buckhurst Hill for over a century and always ensure they receive the highest standard of care.
Emotional support, practical advice
Losing a loved one is often a great shock to those left behind. When this happens, it’s important you get the support you need, whether it’s the early hours of the morning or the middle of the day. Because of this, we are here for you 24 hours a day.

As soon as we are contacted, your loved one will be brought into our care and you will be given access to a dedicated funeral arranger, who will guide you through each step at your own pace. They can talk you through all of the paperwork required to register the death and advise of the timeline which will follow.

We will, when you feel ready, help you make informed decisions about the funeral and handle all arrangements on your behalf. We do all we can so that you can concentrate on the needs of yourself and your family.
Supporting family members at a funeral service
Your loved one will be collected in a purpose-built, specialist vehicle and will rest peacefully in our state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facilities. There they will be cared for continually in accordance with any requested religious practice.

We will treat your loved one with the same kindness and respect as we’d expect if they were a member of our own family. Our experienced team, including arrangers, embalmers and operatives, are trained to the very highest standards.

But it doesn't end there. As part of the support our funeral directors offer to every family dealing with the loss of a loved one, they also help out with the administrative side of bereavement. This includes guidance on what paperwork is required, along with advice to ensure it is completed correctly and, where necessary, within a timely manner.

Your dedicated funeral director will be available to talk by phone, email or in person, and will try and make themselves available whenever you need.

Though meeting in such difficult circumstances, we will take the time to form a bond with you and your family and learn about your loved one and the role they played in the family. This will ensure we can support you in making informed decisions about each aspect of the funeral.

We will listen to your specific wishes and liaise with our internal team and all necessary third parties to efficiently make all arrangements on your behalf.

Once all funeral details are confirmed, we will help you pass on the details to those who knew your loved one via a complimentary online Funeral Notice, giving you one less thing to think about.
