Randalls Park Crematorium & Cemetery

Randalls Park opened in 1961, though the ground it stands on has been in use for close to a thousand years: this was once a moated manor house and the most important estate in the area. The name comes from the family who lived here through the 14th century. For the last sixty-five years it's been where Leatherhead families come to remember.

Seventy-two seats with room for around 78 standing, and generous parking at 92 spaces. A service can be streamed for family who cannot be here. Randalls Park serves Leatherhead, Guildford, Epsom and Dorking. Our funeral directors in Epsom can help you arrange a funeral here.

What to expect at a cremation

Attending a ceremony

Each service here has a set length, and it varies from one crematorium to another. Your funeral director will tell you how long you have, let you know when to arrive and where to gather, and keep an eye on the timings on the day so that you don't have to.

The service can include readings, music and time for reflection, led by a minister, celebrant or family member. At the moment of farewell, called the committal, the coffin is lowered or hidden behind a curtain. Some families prefer to leave it in view.

When the service ends, there's usually time to gather outside and speak with other guests. Your funeral director will be there if you have any questions or concerns.

What to wear

Most people wear black or dark clothing but this isn't a rule. Some families ask guests to wear a particular colour or something that meant a lot to the person who has died, like a favourite team's shirt. They may also just want people to wear whatever they're comfortable in. If you've been invited and you're not sure, ask the family.

After the ceremony

The ashes are ready to collect from the crematorium a few days after the cremation. We can also hand-deliver them or scatter them in our memorial grounds for you, whichever you prefer. Some families choose to keep the ashes at home or scatter them somewhere with personal meaning.

A memorial is a lasting place in the world for someone special. Our crematoria offer a range of options, from plaques and benches to planting a tree in the gardens. Memorials can also be arranged after a direct cremation, even if there was no ceremony held at the crematorium itself.

Bit upsetting not able to lay flowers as the lawnmower will be cutting up the grass and going over the flowers and we wasn’t even able to lay my nans name on there as that will also get destroyed. And the way the man had spoken to us when we was trying to retrace our steps back to visit my nan was disgraceful and unacceptable!

it would of been lovely to show a bit more emotion when it comes to saying our fair well to our loved ones and I truly won’t recommend going to that crematorium

Also there needs to be a sign up on where the office is etc and go through everything before going ahead as we would of given a better and loving send off where we can place flowers etc without it being ruined and have a better layout on where she is placed than be given A sheet of paper !!

Had their first Open Day, yes an Open day, what a great idea! It was informative, enlightening & myth busting. Great tour, brilliant staff, as always lovely grounds. Learnt about procedures, how they look after your loved ones when their time has come. They also care for the resident wildlife. There were stands show casing services offered by other suppliers. The person I went with said it comforted them knowing how they will be looked after once their time comes. Well done Randall's Park for opening your doors & giving us an insight into a subject that most people dont like to think about, it was a good day & the weather held.

I write this review after leaving a very apt bad review because a member of the crematorium crew spoke badly about me in the office for no reason I had not visited the place where by folk are for a very long time as I do not live as closely in the way and life got in the way... Alex addressed my complaint made by review See five stars now Thanks Alex for sorting out my grievance and here I update the stars awarded status it was just that I had done nothing to make this key worker of your company take an attitude I hereby up the stars It would be good to know what the key worker made up to tell you More stars I give after your kind attention would have given 5 stars immediately and had a lot of faith in this beautifully kept exquisite example of a crematorium where my husbands funeral took place some many years ago and I have two ashes graves plus a lot of other memorial plaques for my folk but now I wonder if my enthusiasm to have my parents ashes exhumed from elsewhere and a memorial placed for them with the ashes grave here to be near my husband's was wrongly placed.I honestly hadnot had the opportunity to attend the office for year's to ask anything at all and have always felt reluctant to bother the staff..... However I had asked by phone and attendance sometime ago if some plaques could be examined with the possibility of a clean or resurfacing done but it had not happened so a few weeks ago I very politely walked into the office and asked again...very politely...Now the manager greeted me with a very friendly Hello how was I and it was hands across the years sort of thing...Very pleasant as I used to go to pay tribute a lot when I lived near the area..... So lovely all very nice except i was taken back when a person who has been an operative on the practical side as I stood at the desk approached a lady office worker who was at the back with her desk facing the counter and said... sort of pssst pssst Hey that's her .....then mentioned my name....I was shocked and felt so sad that I had decided to move my parents ashes to this venue nearly twenty years ago and gone through all the red tape to do so and that my husband and his mother were given last services there in the first place Reverence training or just plain politeness should be the obvious thing when something as important as a loved ones resting place is the subject and I have quietly attended laid flowers and left with deepest respect and long periods of time in-between reverently always.Humiliating. Had to say something as it was uncalled for. Weeks and weeks have gone by and sadly the company have not had the decency to reply to me personally at all and it is so sad as my beloved are all there in what now seems as I had long suspected non reverend territory They would have hated to witness the childish trouble making practical cremation worker speak with his back to me to the memorial chief lady in the office that has not been there as long as my memorials have with Scottish accent With out prejudice just a means of explanation as to who the sad attitude people are

Terrible experience. StopPress The manager replied to me two days ago after I rand the number given and sent me apologies and has cleaned my plaques Very many Thanks Alex I am truly grateful and sorry I had to raise this but I think it could totally have unhinged some folk I have been through terrible things in my life that were Alex so unfair particularly recently I will tell you in short email if you send me another I have lost the link to you at present Bless you Stars upgrade I felt I must on review Thank you for being so very kind as always you truly are Have great day 😍
