Lawn graves
Lawn graves are set within well-maintained grassy surroundings, with space for a headstone of your choice at the head of the plot. They offer a simple, peaceful and timeless setting for remembrance.
Wyre Forest Cemetery covers 23 acres of landscaped ground in the Worcestershire countryside. Water features and planted beds break the space up, with memorials set among the flowers rather than apart from them. There are formal gardens to sit in, and a natural burial area where the wildflowers are left to do as they like. Our funeral directors across Worcestershire can help you arrange a burial here.

A burial usually takes place at a cemetery or churchyard, either as part of a service that starts elsewhere or as the main ceremony itself. Guests gather at the graveside, where a celebrant, faith leader, or family member leads a short service. This might include readings, prayers, music, or a few words of reflection before the coffin is lowered into the ground. Some families invite those attending to place a flower, a handful of earth, or another small, meaningful gesture into the grave.
Most people wear black or dark clothing but this isn’t a rule. Some families ask guests to wear a particular colour or something that meant a lot to the person who has died, like a favourite team’s shirt. They may also just want people to wear whatever they’re comfortable in. If you’ve been invited and you’re not sure, ask the family.
Once the burial is over, guests are often invited to join the family nearby for refreshments and time together, sometimes called a wake or a reception. It's a chance to share memories, offer your condolences, and support one another.

I was extremely distraught with the behaviour of the crematorium consultant Sarah barnet, when I came to collect my mom's ashes as if it's not difficult enough having to do that.
I was met with a very unprofessional greeting, there was no one there so me and a friend waited and Sarah came through the door out of breath and said "sorry I've just come from a burial,ha ha ha" I was so stunned I couldn't speak as I'd break down, incredibly disrespectful to whomever she had performed a burial for.
I was already in a state of shock but collecting my mums ashes was like conducting a transaction at a shop,no empathy or condolences, didn't seat me or speak much or explain what I would have my mum delivered in on phone or in person,as someone grieving and not understanding anything or being able to consider what to ask it was hard to be met with such indifference.she just got my mum's ashes out of a cupboard! Like storing a file or something. Got me to sign some paper work and I asked what she was in she showed me and I said "is that it,she's just in paper bag,I was visibly upset and she just said "yes" no explanation or reassurance or offer for any other option! Again I was too shocked to comment but the whole thing felt like a cold indifferent transaction.i left and cried my eyes out on the grounds as I couldn't drive home I was so upset.
I called another crematorium who was kind enough to explain the paper bag and why it is given in such a way,his whole tone was lovely and kind and he offered to transfer my mom's ashes to an urn I bought myself for no charge as he felt terrible for how I had been treated.

We were very happy with the service we received from Wyre Forest Crematorium, the chapel is modern, light and airy, the grounds are lovely and there is plenty of parking. The only reason for not giving five stars is because the video streaming is not that good and we needed it as we had family in Scotland unable to attend. An invitation to the Christmas memorial service last year was a nice touch as names of those who had passed were highlighted on screen which made it an emotional experience.
