About our Falmouth funeral home

T Cooke Funeral Directors in Falmouth is a local funeral business dedicated to providing you with the highest standard of care at a difficult time. If you have experienced the loss of a loved one, we are here to ensure their farewell is a heartfelt and meaningful occasion.

We have served the local community and those from the neighbouring areas of Cornwall since the 1930s. In this time we have gained an expertise that has been passed down from one generation to the next and allows us to deliver a dignified funeral that meets your particular needs.

Our team of funeral directors will guide you through the process of arranging your loved one’s funeral, providing support and sympathy, along with advice when it comes to decisions you are unsure of. Once we have an understanding of what you want, we will take care of the arrangements, tailoring the funeral in accordance with your wishes.

Whether it is a religious or a non-religious ceremony, something traditional or a contemporary service – a woodland burial, for instance – we can organise it to suit. In the past, we have also provided burials at sea, which are performed here in the bay.

We have long been committed to helping our local community, both in our role as a Falmouth funeral directors and out of it. Our founder, Thomas Cooke, was a special constable for the town and our current Funeral Manager is a serving retained firefighter.

Our funeral home can be found on Quarry Hill and this central location makes us easily accessible to the whole of the town, as well as the communities that surround us. These include Carnon Downs, Flushing, Mawnan Smith and Mylor Bridge.

  • When someone dies, the first steps will depend on how and where the person passed away. Our step-by-step guides will walk you through the practical steps. For additional support and personal advice, please get in touch with us.


  • You don't have to make an appointment at our funeral homes. However, doing so will ensure that someone can be available to cater to your needs. When arranging a funeral, our Funeral Directors are happy to visit you in your own home, if required.


  • Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.


  • If you choose to arrange the funeral with us, you will be given the option of a complimentary Funeral Notice. We will set it up for you using the details discussed during the arrangements. All we need is an email address.


  • Dignity Funeral Plans let you pay for your funeral in advance and at today's price. It's a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront.

My father passed away early September, he lived in Falmouth/Cornwall and I live in Scotland. I seen the reviews of Dignity on line and as they were good I called the Falmouth branch and spoke to Anna. I was immediately put at ease with Anna`s nice tone and certainly knew what she is talking about, and we started to arrange to details for my father.

When I met Anna a few days later when we had arranged a visit to the Falmouth branch, I knew right away we were using the correct and right services for my father.

Anna was very accurate with the details regarding the cremation and the follow up services about sending my fathers ashes back home to Scotland. The family has been extremely happy from start - finish including myself as we had to have an unattended service due to the fact we had to come home to Scotland when my father was cremated, this was very difficult for myself/wife to leave dad, but for the nice nature and mannerisms of Anna we felt at ease and that dad would be looked after.

We were very happy that Anna allowed us to have an small photo book placed in the coffin, as dad had not met his great grandchildren yet, this was a fantastic moment for us as last dad got to see them before the cremation.

From the very start of the process Shirley treated us with compassion and respect. Her experience and invaluable knowledge got my daughter and I through the traumatic choices that need to be made and were proved to be absolutely perfect on the day of the funeral.

Communication with us over the details of the Order of Service, Floral Tributes and music selection was exceptional. Her recommendation of the Funeral Celebrant to conduct the Service was perfect, with Vicky Ellis, the Celebrant, ensuring that all the facts were gathered and presented on the day to perfection.

The Funeral Director and Driver were faultless and many of the mourners that attended remarked on the quality of the service.

My mother passed away in Falmouth Hospital on the 19th of April 2021, she was 94 years old. After she died I came home and telephoned T. Cooke for help and advice for what to do next, my call was answered by Lee and he was very helpful and explained the process to which I would have to go through. Lee was always on hand to help and guide, he was supportive, understanding and sympathetic giving the whole process a personal feel. T. Cooke was very professional and made the whole process less traumatic and upsetting.
I would recommend T. Cooke for a professional but personal funeral for a loved one.

I used this company simply because the very well regarded Michael Badger works with them and for no other reason. The staff member, Anna was tremendous and the Cremation Service was exactly as we wanted it, The Celebrant, Nick Battle got the balance just right in his presentation to a largely agnostic congregation. I cannot speak more highly of T Cooke and my experience with them. They took all of the weight and worry away from myself and my 87 year old Father as they buried my Mother whilst delivering exactly what we wanted.

T. Cooke's Funeral Directors provided a service that was respectful and dignified. Their behaviour and communication from the initial contact over the phone to the follow up contact to see if everything was to our satisfaction was courteous, polite and genuine. Shirley, who was our main point of contact was excellent and supported us throughout the whole process. Lee was the most well-mannered person I have ever met and carried out his role to great effect. He was invisible, yet when you turned to look for him he was there. The family couldn't have envisaged the sad day playing out any better than it did - and T.Cooke had a massive part to play in that.

all aspects from the beginning were conducted with a friendly and professional attitude to a very high standard. Lee did a fantastic job from start to finish even down to wearing a yellow tie as this was my late wife's favourite colour. the whole team worked together to produce a great send off to my wife of almost 50 years. nothing was too much trouble even last minute changes. thank you all for making a sad time easier to cope with from all of our family.
