  • You don't have to make an appointment at our funeral homes. However, doing so will ensure that someone can be available to cater to your needs. When arranging a funeral, our Funeral Directors are happy to visit you in your own home, if required.


  • Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.


  • If you choose to arrange the funeral with us, you will be given the option of a complimentary Funeral Notice. We will set it up for you using the details discussed during the arrangements. All we need is an email address.


  • Dignity Funeral Plans let you pay for your funeral in advance and at today's price. It's a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront.

The family received an excellent level of service from the company following the death of our father a year ago, and most recently our mother. Alex, in particular, was exceptional. No detail was overlooked, the communications were clear and regular but without pressure, and it was truly a team effort. We cannot thank Alex and the team enough for everything they did for us on both occasions - we even wondered if they had a hand in the good weather. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

My family was very pleased with the service, the 2 funeral directors Andrew Hart and i didn't know the name of the other man who came to the house to collect mum were very professional and understanding. Debbie was very sympathetic and very caring she made sure that we had everything we wanted to make my mum's funeral perfect. The drivers also showed empathy.
The after care was also very good, the photo's and service folder was a lovely touch, it was a lovely surprise when we received it.

Winns of Hayle were excellent. Specifically, Suzanne handled everything professionally, sensitively and with good humour when that was appropriate...and when isn't it? Obviously times are difficult, both for families and FDs but she explained what we could and couldn't do clearly and kindly. On behalf of the family we would like to thank her for this - we have absolutely nothing negative to say.

We received an excellent service from Winn’s Funeral Directors.

Debbie was very efficient, kind and understanding in everything she did to organise our brother’s funeral, from the preparation to the procedure of events on the day.

Debbie was a reassuring presence at the times when we found things difficult and emotional. She kept in regular telephone contact in the days leading up to the funeral and made sure that we knew exactly how things were proceeding and what to expect. She helped us find a minister to take the service, who was just perfect for our circumstances.

We loved the large photograph of our brother, handed to us after the funeral and thought this to be a ‘lovely touch’ and something that we will always treasure.

In summary, we are very grateful to Winn’s for helping us to provide ‘a perfect farewell’ to our loved one, on this sad occasion.

My brother recently passed away following a long battle with cancer. The funeral was conducted in somewhat trying circumstances owing to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Despite restrictions - W J Winn and Peter in particular, were absolutely fantastic. Their personal touches, caring attitude and attention to detail gave him the perfect farewell and the family could not have been more delighted with his send off. It is extremely difficult to deal with the loss of a loved one but this was made much easier by the thoughtfulness and understanding that we were shown throughout by W J Winn. I would not hesitate to recommend their services and would like to thank them again for their kindness throughout.

We would like to thank all the staff at W J Winn for arranging and participating in the funeral of Mr John Carah Reed.

From our first telephone call to the company on 11the October, to the final interment on the 28th, we received a friendly, supportive, efficient and highly professional service.

I would particularly commend the Funeral Director for her patience and understanding whilst arranging the funeral with Mr Reed’s elderly widow and nurse at Trevaylor Manor Care Home. I should also like to thank her and the pallbearers for ensuring that Jack lay in his favourite chapel for an hour before the service started, for their very caring attendance throughout the service and for a careful and dignified transit from the hearse to the final resting place - a very considerable climb from the road.

We would be pleased to recommend W J Winn without any hesitation.

The service our family received from WJ Winn was delivered with courtesy, dignity, respect, sympathy and compassion yet sprinkled with a lovely light sense of humour at just the right moment. I don't know where Peter learned to do that but he does it excellently enabling us to smile through our tears. It feels strange reviewing Funeral Directors as really you don’t want to use their services but that’s life, excuse the pun! Unfortunately we have needed to use Winn’s services four times in the last 9 years as we have lost both sets of parents.
Debbie looked after us and has always been both professional and compassionate, she took control of everything allowing us to grieve and come to terms with losing our much loved parents without worrying about the funeral knowing everything had been arranged. Bev x
