  • You don't have to make an appointment at our funeral homes. However, doing so will ensure that someone can be available to cater to your needs. When arranging a funeral, our Funeral Directors are happy to visit you in your own home, if required.


  • Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.


  • If you choose to arrange the funeral with us, you will be given the option of a complimentary Funeral Notice. We will set it up for you using the details discussed during the arrangements. All we need is an email address.


  • Dignity Funeral Plans let you pay for your funeral in advance and at today's price. It's a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront.

I can only say that the experience I had of all staff was exceptional and extremely professional, from the first traumatic phone call I had to make.
Tess was excellent with helping to make the funeral arrangements and nothing was too much trouble.
On the day Julie was very kind and again everything was in place that had been arranged beforehand. I had constant calls throughout the process and nothing was too much trouble.
I would recommend them and shall be using them again in the future.

The staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Blackburn's handled my Mum's funeral in 2021, and they remembered me straight away, and all the arrangements went like clockwork. I can't thank Tessa and Julie enough for all their care and help. I wish to thank all the staff at Blackburn's, but especially the two ladies that dealt with my Mum's funeral arrangements, Tessa and Julie, they were so helpful, caring and kind, nothing was too much trouble. They organised the service, arranged for a lovely lady to officiate, ordered flowers, sorted a Webcast for all the people who couldn't attend due to ill health and Covid 19. They liaised with me every step of the way, in short, made the whole experience so easy and helped to relieve my stress. I would have no problem in recommending them to anyone.

From the second I walked through the doors the staff put me at ease (even though I couldn't stop crying) and were very patient and understanding,everything was explained in detail and they made a point that there were no silly questions.I can not recommend them strongly enough and my mums funeral was exactly what she would have wanted. Tessa if you're reading this I want you to know whatever they are paying you it's not enough. Thanks Blackburns staff, you all made a very difficult day that bit easier for my family and myself.
