What does a Dignity funeral director do?
Here at Thomas B Treacy Funeral Directors, we are sometimes asked what a funeral director does, or what a typical day as a funeral director is like.
Support the family ...
There's no such thing as a 'typical' day at Thomas B Treacy, but it is a 24-hour day. A funeral director will remain on call outside of normal opening hours, so if somebody passes away at home, there's a trained professional available to help with collecting the deceased and to meet with the family and offer support.
Care for the departed is an essential feature of our role, but those left behind are of equal importance. Our duty of care as funeral directors is to reassure the family and help ease their burden, while supporting them when making difficult choices.
