What does a Dignity funeral director do?

Surprisingly, we are often asked: what do funeral directors do? Or, what is a typical day here at A Seaward & Sons?
Support the family ...
Our day is certainly never typical and we meet new people all the time. As we're on call 24 hours a day, one of our funeral directors will always be available outside of the normal working hours to ensure someone is here to offer support. From collecting the loved one, to helping with those initial difficult moments.

Here at A Seaward & Sons Funeral Directors, we do not ever forget how important it is to care for those left behind. We feel a responsibility to deliver guidance and support to the families at this difficult time, to help ease some of the stress of coping with a bereavement. Our funeral directors support those experiencing loss to help them make the necessary decisions for the funeral service.
Supporting family members at a funeral service
For us to offer a truly bespoke funeral service, we like to get to know who the deceased was, and what they meant to family and friends. This process helps us understand a little more in order to arrange the service the family wants

Coping with the loss of a loved one is already difficult. Dealing with the additional administration can often add to the stress. We ensure the family understands the logistics, costs, and have all the paperwork signed in a timely manner.

The service that our funeral directors deliver to the deceased is universal. Each person receives the same attentive treatment due to our 'care of the deceased' process.

Our experienced funeral operatives, arrangers and embalmers operate to the highest standards. This level of care is followed to make sure the departed is tended to in accordance with the family's wishes, from the service itself, to the final goodbye.

A Seaward & Sons is thankful to the community here in Palmers Green for allowing us to support them during the most difficult of times. That is why one of our less recognised, but no less significant, duties is expressing our gratitude.

Whether it's working with local care homes, training the clergy in funeral procedure, or advising other public bodies on care for the deceased and bereaved, being a part of Dignity means our funeral directors are always ready to assist and put a little something back.
