About our Deepcar funeral home

T W Birks & Son Funeral Directors have served the local community from our funeral parlour on Manchester Road since 1972. We take great pride in our work, ensuring that every person in our care is treated with utmost kindness, compassion and respect.

  • You don't have to make an appointment at our funeral homes. However, doing so will ensure that someone can be available to cater to your needs. When arranging a funeral, our Funeral Directors are happy to visit you in your own home, if required.


  • Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.


  • If you choose to arrange the funeral with us, you will be given the option of a complimentary Funeral Notice. We will set it up for you using the details discussed during the arrangements. All we need is an email address.


  • Dignity Funeral Plans let you pay for your funeral in advance and at today's price. It's a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront.

I really cannot thank Phil and Sheila enough for the care, compassion and yes, humour, they shared with my family at such a dreadful time. Nothing was too much trouble and options we didn't even dream of were offered by Phil that made my husband's funeral so relevant to him and such a comfort to all of us. Absolutely first class service from every member of the team at T W Birks Deepcar, Both Martin and Sheena could not do enough to help my family and I through a very difficult time, from the initial phone call I made to the out of hours team right through to the conclusion .
The ceremony itself was perfect, with the help, guidance and hard work Martin and his whole team did for us we were able to fulfill my mum's last wishes.

From my very first contact, both Martin and Sheila were professional, sympathetic, and compassionate, they kept in regular touch, offering help, advice, support, and guidance.

At all times, I was treated with the utmost respect and nothing was ever too much trouble.

Everything was clearly explained and any question I had, fully answered. I always felt totally confident and relaxed with them from start to finish, they managed to provide everything as I would have wished, and the whole process ran like clockwork.
