Reviews of our services
2nd time we have used their services - also 7 years ago for my stepfather. Would have no hesitation in throughly recommending Bargetts to anyone - even during the covid 19 pandemic they were the ultimate professionals.
Mark was very good with my mum and at rounding up the family when it came to getting us in the cars. He was assertive without appearing rude or forceful.
The gentleman (?Michael) who spoke to my mum at the chapel of rest (Heaton) was lovely, and the staff had done an excellent job with my dad and mum was so pleased he looked smart and ‘more like himself’.
(from Mrs Dawn Goodfellow)
He put me in touch with the legal team at Dignity who talked me through applying for Probate without having to use and pay for the services of a solicitor which I successfully did.
All the way through the process he was always there and always willing and on the day of the cremation was dignified and respectful. In our opinion Jordan went above and beyond and made the whole sad occasion very bearable, thanks to his attention to detail and compassion.

Throughout the whole preparation we were contacted by the funeral director. She was always aware of our emotions, but was kind and sympathetic to help us with whatever we needed. We felt that she could not have done any more to make our mother's funeral go without a hitch.
I would certainly recommend Bardgett and Sons, and thank them for their wonderful service.
Bardgetts have looked after funerals for my family for several generations and it was my Mother's request that they looked after her. While this is not longer a family firm it is clear that the culture of care and service that the family set up are still very present.
Many thanks, JJC.
We can’t thank you enough for making such a difficult time less stressful you will know who directed our mums funeral and this Lady was outstanding
Right from that first telephone call to Louise and her prompt invitation for us to meet with her at our convenience we knew why we had returned for repeat business. John Bardgett & Sons know how to provide a close family experience and how to support people through this tough personal experience, openly discussing the various options and allowing us to choose what worked best for us, totally without any pressure.
Louise acted as a calming influence, was extremely efficient and understood our needs even before we had thought of them ourselves. She also accommodated the personal touches we wanted and ensured that nothing was left to chance.
Thank you for giving our Dad the send off he deserved. Fully recommend your services to anyone looking for a top quality Funeral Director in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Very happy to provide this account of our experience and the fact this is three times you ran the funerals for close family members over a 30-year period this is evidence of your consistent excellent service.
