The quality of care, service and attention to detail from start to finish was exemplary. Each member of the team that we dealt with - both at the funeral director premises and at the funeral itself - treated us with the utmost politeness, sensitivity and professionalism. Also, what a rare pleasure it is these days - and a comfort in the context of the stress of arranging a funeral - to be able to make phone calls and for them to be answered, directly, by a person, not a machine, and for them to be, almost always, answered by the same person; in our case, by Chrissie. Chrissie was an amazingly knowledgeable guiding hand at all stages of the process. This was the first time I've ever been involved in arranging a funeral and I was very nervous about it at the start. But Chrissie made us feel very comfortable about the process, never made us feel pressurised into making any decisons, but told us all the facts and then facilitated the implementation of those decisions that we did make.

In as much as the arrangement of a funeral can be a pleasurable process, Francis Chappell & A G Rice made it that. Thank you very much to all of you.

Staff were very helpful and considerate and made special arrangements for our doctor to be able to provide the cause of death certificate and for us to spend time with my wife in order to fully say goodbye.

I cannot recommend Frances Chappell and Co enough. We had a very small private funeral for our mother and the sensitivity and understanding shown by both Chrissy and Richard throughout was beyond reproach.
