Thank you very much
Excellent service throughout
Thank you to the whole team x
From the first phone call from Malta ... to the final farewell I couldn't fault them.
Following my experience and recommendation; several other friends and family have now pre-booked their funeral plans with T W Birks.
Martin carried out the initial interview and took us through the whole process, discussing options and choices. He did not encourage us to choose the most expensive options and allowed us time to chat between ourselves so that the final package suited us well. He took plenty of time and we were not rushed at all.
Fiona chose to be our funeral director for Dad's funeral because she had taken my Mother's funeral 7 years ago. The continuity was a nice touch because she had provided very good service last time around. The whole process was carried out sympathetically, efficiently and calmly.
I was impressed with how the service has continued to improve over 7 year. I liked:
-The Wide range of Stationary choices
-The opportunity to include 5 photographs on the Order of Service
-The Many choices of coffins and flowers
-Opportunity to view the service live and for 28 days afterwards on the Obitus website which meant that brother in Australia could
watch
On the actual day I was impressed by the way Fiona walked in front of the hearse in front of Dad's house and again when we approached the Crematorium, despite pouring rain. She, along with the Bearers and the Celebrant, bowed to the coffin on occasions. Both these actions were very touching and respectful.
During the lead up to the funeral and throughout the funeral day Fiona checked with us that everything was going well and guided us through the process. She also followed up with a phone call after the funeral day. The whole of the proceedings were thoroughly professionally.
Thank you
Hazel Marshall
We particularly liked the option of being able to choose an Order of Service Cover featuring The Flying Scotsman, which resonated with my Father as his was the engine that pulled the carriages when he and Mum went away on honeymoon.
The funeral directors were avilable to help with any queries no matter how small. They arranged a lovely funeral and gave our father a really good send off.
She delivered an outstanding level of service to our family at a very difficult time.
Thanks to her helpful suggestions identifying a celebrant, venue, flowers and order of service, she eased much of our families distress by ensuring every detail of the funeral was taken care of with great sensitivity and discretion.
Joy has excellent people skills, a gift for listening carefully and an air of re-assuring clam that made us all feel we were in safe hands.
