What does a Dignity funeral director do?

We are often asked “what is a normal day here at Shankill?” and “what do your Funeral Directors do?”
Support the family ...
We are available 24-hours a day to offer support whenever we are needed. One of our funeral directors is on hand at all times to begin the process of arranging a funeral. Working around the clock for our community means our days are varied.

Arranging a funeral can be overwhelming. The family members who undertake this process can often get left behind. While caring for the deceased is our primary role, we also offer advice to families in need to support them during this challenging period.
Supporting family members at a funeral service
Getting to know more about who the deceased was helps us to understand the kind of person they were and make recommendations about the funeral.

We're also here to help with the formalities of arranging a service, such as completing the right paperwork on time. We're always available to guide families through the administrative side of organising a funeral.

At Shankill Funeral Directors, our team of professionals follow our 'care of the deceased' process.

Our highly experienced and passionate team of Funeral Operatives, Embalmers and Arrangers make funeral arrangements respectfully and in line with the family's wishes; from the funeral service itself to the last goodbye.

We wish to express our gratitude to the Belfast community for allowing us to support them during some of their most difficult times.
