We are sometimes asked, here at Jonathan Harvey Funeral Directors, what a typical day looks like for a funeral director.
Support the family ...
There's no such thing as a 'typical' day, but it is a 24 hour day. If somebody passes away outside of normal opening hours, there will be a funeral director on call to begin the process of bringing them into our care and offer support to the family.

Although care for the departed is a critical feature of the role, of equal importance is those left behind. Our duty is to help ease some of the family's burden and provide reassurance. We will offer guidance and advice so that they can make any decisions that may be difficult during this emotional time.
Supporting family members at a funeral service
It is important for a loved one to receive a send off that reflects their personality and what they may have wanted. This is why we take the time to understand who they were and what they meant to the family.
