Changing an existing plan
A funeral plan is meant to last for years, and life rarely stands still in that time. This guide explains what you can change on a plan you already hold, how to tell us, and what to check in your plan terms first.

When it is worth reviewing your plan
It is worth looking over your plan if you move house, change your name, want a different funeral director, or simply change your mind about part of the ceremony.
It is also worth checking that the person who will call us when the time comes still knows where to find the paperwork.
What you can usually change
Most of the detail on a plan can be updated. What varies is whether a change affects the price, so we will always confirm that with you first.

Changes that affect payments
If you are paying by instalments and need to change the amount, the date or your bank details, contact us rather than cancelling the payment at your bank. A missed instalment can affect the plan.
Your plan terms and conditions set out what happens if payments stop, along with your cancellation rights and the cooling-off period that applied when you bought.
How to make a change
Have your plan number to hand if you can, then contact our funeral plan team by phone, or call into your local branch and they will help you.
We will confirm the change in writing. Keep that with your plan documents, and tell whoever holds a copy for you.
