Frequently asked questions
When someone dies, the first steps will depend on how and where the person passed away. Our step-by-step guides will walk you through the practical steps. For additional support and personal advice, please get in touch with us.
You don't have to make an appointment at our funeral homes. However, doing so will ensure that someone can be available to cater to your needs. When arranging a funeral, our Funeral Directors are happy to visit you in your own home, if required.
Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.
If you choose to arrange the funeral with us, you will be given the option of a complimentary Funeral Notice. We will set it up for you using the details discussed during the arrangements. All we need is an email address.
Dignity Funeral Plans let you pay for your funeral in advance and at today's price. It's a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront.
Reviews of our services
With their care and help Mum’s funeral was beautiful and appropriate.
We would have no hesitation recommending Seaford and Newhaven Funeral Directors.
The funeral itself went ahead much easier and smoother than I would have thought possible.
I would not hesitate in recommending Seaford and Newhaven Funeral Directors for others that have the misfortune in needing Funeral Services.
"in my 83 years i have sadly been to many funerals, but i can honestly say that was the best!"
Praise indeed from a lady who had just said goodbye to her husband!
Thank you so much xx
Everything possible is done to carry out your wishes and those of the deceased.
All the staff were very kind and considerate and nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you for helping us through this very sad and difficult time.
There was however confusion over the price of memorial cards which only became apparent - too late - when invoiced, so it is important to clarify individual costs of items from the outset.
A big thank you to everyone at Seaford & Newhaven Funeral Directors - a bespoke community service - guiding us through a very sad time with such personal care. You enabled us to give our mother (and previously our father) the beautiful send off she so deserved.
The service by our friend Bob Carrington went very well, as did all other aspects of the funeral thanks to Rosemary and her team and the staff of Seaford cemetery.
