Alfred R W Connock & Son Funeral Directors, Shepton Mallet
About our Shepton Mallet funeral home
You will receive a sympathetic reception from the team at Alfred R W Cannock & Son, with our funeral directors always ready to offer comfort and support at a difficult time. With over two centuries worth of experience in funeral arrangement behind us, you can be sure that the care of both you and your loved one is in reliable hands.
We aim to lift some of the burden from your shoulders and ensure that your wishes for the funeral are met. This we do by providing guidance and advice when you need it and helping to ease the feelings of uncertainty you may currently be feeling.
The funeral can be tailored to suit your preferences, so if you have something special in mind that will make it all that more personal to you and your family, we will ensure it is part of the ceremony, regardless of whether you choose a religious or a humanist service, something traditional or a more contemporary reflection on life.
Our reputation as a longstanding provider of professional funeral care means we will always put you and your loved one first. Founded in 1763, we have always served the area we love, establishing ourselves in nearby Pilton before moving, in 1957, to our current funeral home at The Croft in Shepton Mallet.
The distinctive building is located on West Shepton (opposite the King William pub) and we are easily accessible to surrounding towns and villages in the Mendip district, including Glastonbury, Evercreech, Gurney Slade, Oakhill and Stoke St Michael.
The chapel of rest on our premises was the first in the area and allows you to spend time with your loved one in a peaceful and private environment. We can open up outside of our normal hours if it is more convenient for you.
Our team of advisors is available to listen, day or night. Call us whenever you feel you are ready to talk. We are here for you.
