W H Scott & Son Funeral Directors, Edgbaston
About our Edgbaston funeral home
Our funeral home, founded over 80 years ago on Rotton Park Road, is easily accessible from Smethwick, Winson Green, Hockley, the Jewellery Quarter, Ladywood, Bearwood and beyond.
Over the years, several changes have been made to our funeral home. The original stables were adapted to modern garages, where we house our fleet to keep our cars in immaculate condition for the funeral services that we oversee.
Our team, including Mr Bill Scott from the founding family, is here to help you with whatever you need to ensure your loved one’s funeral service is conducted beautifully and seamlessly.
However you wish to say goodbye to your loved one, we will arrange it. Whether that is a simple religious ceremony or a vibrant celebration of your loved one’s life.
If you cannot reach us here in Rotton Park, you can also visit us in Quinton, Barnes Hill or Rubery, if they are closer to you. If you prefer to arrange the funeral details from the comfort of your own home, we will be happy to come arrange a visit. We will sit down with you to discuss your wishes and requests, such as picking the flowers, the cortege route, the coffin and more.
We are here to support you and your family through every step. You can get in touch with us at any time you need on 0121 558 8801. We will be there for you.

Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.

Reviews for W H Scott & Son Funeral Directors in Birmingham
We were comforted by the care and consideration given to our father’s body from being placed in the shroud to the departure from the family home.
The presentation of our father in the casket was of the most highest standard, and hence we confidently facilitated an open casket.
The interaction with the family and others at the home, church and finally to the internment was so professional.
We have no complaints
We would confidently recommend WH Scott to anyone seeking funeral director services
Emma was very personable and empathetic to the needs of my family.
I would highly recommend them.
If I was to sum up W H Scott, I would describe them as ‘professional’, ‘compassionate’ and ‘respectful’.
I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone
Went above and beyound. Assisted my elderly mother to the waiting car, drew her curtains when leaving the house.
A fantastic, well presented team. An asset to the company.
Heart felt thank you 5/5 star rating
Staff were sensitive to all needs and requests and nothing was too much trouble.
Clair was very attentive and stood by our side throughout the planning and on the actual day of the funeral. Nothing that we asked was ever too much. Many of our family and friends have asked if she conducts funerals outside of Birmingham! This speaks of the impact that she had.
We were the recipients of a first class, friendly service and we were given guidance throughout an extremely difficult period in our lives.
A huge thank you to Clair and the team.
