The values passed down to us, by our founders, can still be seen today in how we treat every family in our care. You can read some of the reviews left by some of our dear families for further insight into our service.

From 9 September 2024, there will no longer be a doctor's fee in England and Wales when arranging a funeral. This is because from this date, all deaths in England and Wales will be independently viewed, either by a relevant coroner or by a Medical Examiner and the cost will be met by the NHS.
A Medical Examiner is a specifically trained independent senior doctor who will scrutinise all deaths across a local area that do not fall under the coroner's jurisdiction. By providing a greater level of scrutiny over the cause of deaths; it is hoped that the introduction of Medical Examiners will make it less likely that unnatural causes of death will go unnoticed; that the number of deaths unnecessarily referred to the coroner will be reduced and that national data about causes of death will be captured with greater accuracy.
Medical Examiners, or Medical Examiner Officers, will also be available to meet with families, or their representatives, if they wish to discuss the cause of death.
Very professional. Vicki, the main person that I spoke with on the phone went the extra mile by obtaining a wheelchair friendly vehicle so my mother could attend my father's funeral with dignity. Sarah was brilliant and very organised. She came to the care home to speak to my mother and arranged everything for us. On the day Sarah explained everything and kept us well informed. Both Vicki and Sarah made a difficult time much more bearable.
Thank you for taking the time to send your online review to us. I am pleased to hear that our team were so accommodating and their recommendations were helpful. It makes a difficult time seem a little easier and I am glad that you and the family were well cared for.
Lets face it funerals for any family are not the easiest of times. I can say without reservation that the way that Grimmett and Timms handled my late mothers funeral were without exception wonderful. From the initial meeting to start the process off to the actual funeral itsel,f were handled with care and compassion. My late mother would have been proud.
Thank you so much.

Thank you for posting your review online. Our team are here to provide the highest level of service for you and we are happy this was achieved.
My family have used the services of Grimmett and Timms for nearly forty years and last July I approached them with regards to assisting my brother and I with the funeral arrangements of my late father. It is a difficult and emotional period for those arranging the funeral, especially when having to make decisions. The staff at Grimmett and Timms were warm, caring and supportive; we felt that nothing was too much trouble for them, especially when we couldn't make up our minds over certain aspects of the funeral. The staff would contact us with regular updates, to ascertain whether there was anything we needed to discuss and most importantly just to provide support and kind words. The funeral arrangements went smoothly, with a representative overseeing the day, gently and discreetly guiding the family throughout the day.
Ten months later, I had to arrange my late Uncle's funeral and I had no hesitation in returning to Grimmett and Timms for the same. Once again, I received a wonderful service from Grimmett and Timms' employees.
Thank you.
We appreciate you leaving a review online for Grimmett & Timms. I am pleased to hear that our team were so kind and caring to your family and that all of your wishes and requirements were carried out by the team as you had requested.
