We are S Wellens & Sons Funeral Directors in Manchester, and it is an honour to be able to help make things a little easier for families in the community we love. With almost 150 years experience, you can trust us to make your loved one’s farewell special.

Using our expertise and knowledge we can cater for all types of funerals; whether your preference is a celebration of life, a traditional or religious funeral, we can help. We will do our utmost to make your loved one’s goodbye special. With this in mind, we will tailor your loved one’s funeral to make it unique to their life. Back in April 2018, we arranged a funeral at sea for one of our families to give their loved one a fitting farewell.

Our dedicated team are paramount to the quality of care we provide. Most of our staff members have been with S Wellens & Sons for over 10 years, with several coming up to 20 years of service, and a few over 30 years. The values of our founding family remain at the heart of all that we do; our team have a passion for helping people and conduct every aspect of their roles with kindness, compassion and professionalism.

We have funeral homes across Middleton, Blackley, Chadderton and New Moston. We have made many developments over the years to keep our facilities at the highest standards for those in our care.
