Dear Annick,
How can I thank you? I don't think words are enough to say what I feel ....
Yesterday, was one of the most difficult, emotional days that I was due to face, however, despite the tragic circumstances of my mother's passing, the day ran beautifully. The care you and your team have taken to ensure the last days for my mother and her final send off was amazing!
Your patience for me never wavered, even though I changed my mind about things and how I wanted the Order of Service just right....you were professional, and handled my gentle indecisiveness extremely stoically!
My aunt and uncle couldn't praise you enough for how you dressed and prepared my mother for her final journey. The team who collected mam, Sophie and Diane, were superb in the middle of the night, as well as looking after us all during the day yesterday. Adele made sure everything ran smoothly and didn't even rush us when both Lucy and I needed a toilet stop between the Chapel Service and the Crematorium! They all helped with the flowers too, and James made sure that mam didn't slip and slide in the coffin during her journey in the hearse on her way to the Chapel and the Crematorium. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone made us feel comfortable and gave us much reassurance.
Lorette was great! Very welcoming; the organist too played beautifully without his shoes on, which gave me a little smile. The music for both venues was beautiful and the photo tribute was wonderful. Even my spoken recorded tribute was special. It was wonderful that it was played as people heard me speaking...I wasn't sure if I could speak on the day myself, so that was an added bonus.
I know my mam would have been quietly proud of her day. Not only that, but somehow I have gained a certain type of peace now, and I think it's because I have been able to honour both my mam, but also my dad. Thank you Annick for listening to me and helping me to stay true to what it was that I wanted for my mam during the day.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart....it was a beautiful, bittersweet day 🩷....
Thank you Annick,
With my very best wishes,
Michele x
