  • When someone dies, the first steps will depend on how and where the person passed away. Our step-by-step guides will walk you through the practical steps. For additional support and personal advice, please get in touch with us.


  • You don't have to make an appointment at our funeral homes. However, doing so will ensure that someone can be available to cater to your needs. When arranging a funeral, our Funeral Directors are happy to visit you in your own home, if required.


  • Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.


  • If you choose to arrange the funeral with us, you will be given the option of a complimentary Funeral Notice. We will set it up for you using the details discussed during the arrangements. All we need is an email address.


  • Dignity Funeral Plans let you pay for your funeral in advance and at today's price. It's a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront.

Laura at Alexandra & Dry made a very difficult time for me and my sister easier to cope with. She was kind and supportive and made sure the process of organising our Dad’s funeral as easy as it could be. You very kindly looked after my 97 year old mother when she passed on in May 2010. You were all very kind and caring then and everything we asked to be done was carried out in the most professional and friendly manner.

I needed your help again in May this year when my dear husband passed on. And so it was - you were exceedingly kind and understanding of the requirements for him, and Jo and Laura guided me every step of the way. As it turned out, his funeral was perfect in every way (he was a nonbeliever) and you catered for him, and me and my daughter, so nicely.

Our communications and visits were spot on, and I do have to say at this point, how much I miss seeing you all and your friendliness, which meant so much to me and my last surviving child, Rosalind, during those sad weeks.

Many thanks again to all of you for looking after David. You did him, and us, proud. Bless you all.

Losing my wife was the worst moment of my life.
Everyone around me was sympathetic and those that had been in a similar situation had their own opinion as to whom I should use for the final arrangements.
I have been aware of Alexander and Dry for many years, having passed their offices regularly so I chose to trust them with my Wife.
When I spoke to one of your staff she asked if there was anything specific I wanted for the service.
Fortunately my wife and I had casually discussed our respective funerals over the years. Jo was able to make those ideas a reality. I was pleased at the level of control I had, the layout of the Order of service, the music and even the horse drawn carriage my late wife had dreamt of.
At every stage she was able to advise and assist without ever once sounding like a salesperson.
Obviously there is nothing I can offer by way of comparison, as this is the only time I have ever used a Funeral Director’s services but I can genuinely say that the service provided couldn’t have been bettered.

Like most people l was dreading having to make the arrangements for my late fathers funeral, but thanks to the understanding and professionalism of everyone it was not hard as l expected. Following my Mother's death, Alexander & Dry were exceptional in the way they assisted and advised us during the organisation of the funeral service.
Laura was especially helpful and compassionate in the way she guided us through the process and even delivered various sample order of service sheets to my Father when he could not get out of the house.
During the service itself, Ryan and his team were extremely dignified and correct and ensured the service went so smoothly which helped the family on the day.
