You don't have to make an appointment at our funeral homes. However, doing so will ensure that someone can be available to cater to your needs. When arranging a funeral, our Funeral Directors are happy to visit you in your own home, if required.
Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.
If you choose to arrange the funeral with us, you will be given the option of a complimentary Funeral Notice. We will set it up for you using the details discussed during the arrangements. All we need is an email address.
Dignity Funeral Plans let you pay for your funeral in advance and at today's price. It's a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront.
Reviews of our services
The help given from changing it from a single to double service was flawless, and made the very difficult situation run without a hitch.
I contacted Hurtons after the sudden death of my husband David. They dealt so professionally with the funeral of our son Paul in 2001 that there was no hesitation who to ring. Julia came out as soon as they had all the relevant paperwork and discussed the whole process in detail, with my sister-in-law and me, allowing us plenty of time to ask her for any more details we required. They then arranged everything from the funeral notices to obtaining a minister, keeping me informed every step of the way.
On the day the funeral director Steve and the Reverend Shiells were the only people who made sure I made it through the service and burial. That included allowing me to ride in the front, making access/egress to the limousine easier as I am disabled. To save me struggling to enter the pew they also arranged a chair with arms which was positioned so that I could touch David's coffin whenever I chose.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Initially, I was slightly reticent about contacting them on this occasion as E Hurtons are now part of a far larger entity, Dignity Funerals, and I felt the former personal touch may no longer be there.
These doubts were totally unfounded - the whole experience was as stress free and caring as it could have been under the circumstances
On the evening that my father passed away, two relatively young gentlemen came and took my father into their care. Their compassion, thoughtfulness and empathy at was at that time the worst moment in my life was beyond amazing. The two men could not have been kinder or shown any greater respect; one of them was called Tom, sadly I did not get the other ones name - but truly remarkable young men
There after the team guided us through the whole process, including finding us a vicar who was a 'match' for our preferences - our parish is currently without its own vicar - and Mark C was just the man.
The direction from the pall bearers and the funeral director, whom we have known for many years, was everything, my wonderful father would have wished for.
Thank you on behalf of all of our family for being there for us
