- Arrival at Mendip Crematorium for the service (some families choose to have the service elsewhere, such as in a church or other place of worship)
- Service held in the crematorium's multi-faith chapel, usually lasting 30-45 minutes
- A minister or celebrant presides over the cremation service, which may include hymns, readings and prayers
- The eulogy is read prior to the committal, where the curtains are drawn across the coffin
- Mourners leave the crematorium and will sometimes stop outside to view any flowers or offer you their condolences
- Return to your loved one's home, or another venue in Wells, such as a pub or function room, for the wake.

You don't have to make an appointment at our funeral homes. However, doing so will ensure that someone can be available to cater to your needs. When arranging a funeral, our Funeral Directors are happy to visit you in your own home, if required.
Third party funeral costs are additional charges which we will manage for you and attach to your single invoice. Get in touch with us to confirm costs and plan a funeral to fit your budget.
If you choose to arrange the funeral with us, you will be given the option of a complimentary Funeral Notice. We will set it up for you using the details discussed during the arrangements. All we need is an email address.
Dignity Funeral Plans let you pay for your funeral in advance and at today's price. It's a way of taking control of the unexpected, setting out the arrangements and limiting the costs by paying for the services included in the funeral plan upfront.
Reviews of our services
The attention, compassion and, indeed, humour helped enormously to ease us through a difficult time and we are most grateful for this.
I would certainly recommend the excellent service without hesitation.
Kym who I met with to do the arrangements on both occasions was wonderful. Her help, guidance and kindness made difficult, very sensitive times much easier to manage.
Sally, the funeral director at both Mum and Dad’s service supported me so well, making sure everything went as it should.
Both Kym and Sally kept in contact with me prior to the service date(s) to check I was okay, and to see if there was anything I needed, which was very reassuring.
Thank you so much for everything.
