I cannot fully express my deepest gratitude to R. Davies & Son Funeral Directors in Bristol, especially to Rosie, for taking such peaceful and dignified care of my sister after her sudden passing during her studies at the University of Bristol.
From the very beginning, when our family was completely heartbroken and lost, Rosie offered us immense support. The day before we arrived in the UK, Rosie and her manager had already transferred my sister from the mortuary to their care, completing almost all preparations. Knowing the difficulty of our loss, she thoughtfully provided details in advance to help us prepare emotionally. Despite the language barrier, Rosie took the extra care to translate every single email into Chinese for me. That attention to detail gave me absolute trust that my sister was in safe, loving hands.
After we landed, Rosie gave up her personal weekend off to pick us up from our hotel so we could visit my sister. What touched me most was the deep respect and empathy shown in every quiet moment: whenever they were about to touch my sister while dressing her, they gently whispered, "sorry sweet." It was not a performance for a customer—it came genuinely from the bottom of their hearts for every departed soul. Thanks to them, my sister was beautifully dressed and made up according to her photo.
To help us catch our tight flight home, Rosie once again sacrificed her own rest time, starting work early in the morning to personally accompany us to the crematorium to collect my sister’s ashes. Without her willingness to go above and beyond, we would not have been able to make our flight and bring my sister home on time. Even after we left the UK, she continued to check in on us to ensure we arrived home safely.
Learning about Rosie’s own personal story during our time together gave me profound respect for this remarkably strong and compassionate young woman. Rosie is far more than a professional—she has a truly magnificent heart. On behalf of my sister and everyone who loved her, I extend our deepest gratitude to Rosie and R. Davies & Son for everything they have done for our family.
