We cannot thank H & G Wilde Funeral Directors enough for the compassion, kindness and care shown to our family following the loss of our beloved Grandad. The whole team were absolutely wonderful, and the service we received from start to finish was exceptional.

A special mention must go to Sarah, the senior funeral director, who was truly outstanding. Her compassion, thoughtfulness and beautiful suggestions for Grandad’s funeral made such a difference and helped make the day really special for our family.

Sarah also took the time to involve Grandad’s great-grandson, my 12-year-old son, on the day. As this was his first experience of a funeral, it was naturally a difficult and unfamiliar experience for him. Sarah handled this so beautifully, making him feel included and helping him through the day with kindness and sensitivity.

When I asked my son afterwards how he felt the day had gone, he told me it was “really nice”. Those words meant so much to me, and I know that was in no small part thanks to Sarah and the care she showed him.

We will always be grateful to the whole team for helping us give Grandad the send-off he deserved, and particularly to Sarah for going above and beyond in ways that meant so much to us as a family.

I would wholeheartedly recommend H & G Wilde Funeral Directors to anyone who needs a funeral director who genuinely cares. Thank you all for making such a difficult time a little easier and for treating our Grandad and our family with such compassion and respect.

Excellent Service provided, you did Joyce very proud. Everything was well organised down to the last detail. There was some feed back regarding the on line video, that was the camera only showed the left hand side, the photos on the tv screen where hard to see being quite small and the voice recording volume was very low. But the actual event was laughter and sadness well done to all concerned. William
