Reviews for Ronald P Sherry & Son Funeral Directors in Paddington
We as a family could not be happier with the full professional service provided (nothing was to much)
On the day of our funeral everything went to plan so again a big THANKS
Having used Sherry & Son before I knew already in my heart that I had nothing to worry about and would not think twice ( if needed ) to pick up the phone in a moment of need
My dealings were mostly with Marian who was very helpful in guiding me through the various options of coffin selection, burial sites and graveside prayers etc. As well as telephone and e-mail contact I met Marian face to face when I was in London sorting through my late sister's flat. The premises in Bell Street were scrupulously clean and comfortable. I also had some dealings with Rita and Valerie who were likewise very helpful and prompt in responding to my queries. So many thanks to Marian, Rita and Valerie for all the assistance provided to me.
I was very grateful to Fabio and his team for the dignified and considerate handling of the burial itself. I had meant to thank them at the time but I think I may have become distracted by something and overlooked this little courtesy so I hope they will accept my belated thanks.
Everyone did a very good job.
I had one little disappointment which was that Teresa's age was displayed on the coffin. I don't think she would have liked this herself and I certainly did not. Nothing can be done about that now in relation to Teresa's funeral but I would hope that the Funeral Directors would maybe rethink this policy and at least ask for the views of whoever is arranging the funeral. I understand this might not be of the same importance to everyone as it was to me. Had it not been for this I would have given a 5-star rating. Although I was taken aback by this display of age (and had never seen it done on any of my other relatives' coffins) I would not want it to detract from the excellent work done in relation to the funeral. I understand that the wooden cross provided for the grave has been altered to remove the age or date of birth and I am most grateful for that.
Marian also arranged for Father Ben to do a little graveside service which was beautifully conducted by him and I was delighted. So many thanks and gratitude to Father Ben.
All in all, Ronald P Sherry helped to reduce the stress for me of having to arrange the funeral of a close relative.
We had used Sherry's for my dad's funeral 12 years ago and we had no hesitation in using them again for my mum.
