How do funeral costs vary?

The cost of a funeral depends on what you need. We'll help you understand everything, so you can plan without any surprises.

Our prices include all the essentials

The prices you see on each branch's Price List are our lowest for each type of funeral. They include caring for the person who's died, a simple coffin, and the cremation or burial. We don't charge for the little touches like placing a rose on the coffin or playing music.

What affects the cost?

You can choose to add a personal touch, such as a unique coffin, flowers, your choice of transport, a printed order of service or a memorial. There might be additional costs depending on the type of funeral you choose, or what you require. You can find out additional costs by looking at Additional Options Price Lists on each branch's webpage.

I would like to thank all those responsible at Butler & English who took care of my Mum for the last few weeks, for your sensitive and caring service.

The arrangements and support from start to finish, at an incredibly difficult time, were handled with dignity and respect. I never felt far away from help. The funeral service went perfectly and exactly as my Mum would have wanted.

Thank you so much again and I would have no hesitation in recommending you.

Michelle was extremely helpful and kind at this sad time. She did everything she could to help and make the process as easy as possible, and kept us informed and updated.

There were some ‘Company’ Dignity Funerals stuff which wasn’t so great. Funeral notice only accessible if you used Facebook, Instagram or had email addresses. Flowers ordered through Company double the price of local florist. Not much time to pay the bill either. Banks are not always as quick as the Company wants payment. Was told at one point if invoice wasn’t paid the funeral would not go ahead, that was stressful. And I’m talking bill needed paying within a week of being issued. Perhaps would have been better to have been given the bill on day of booking or at least being forewarned. Funeral was 3weeks from day of booking. But this I consider Company stuff. Michelle was great!

Michelle and the team went out of there way to support me and my family at a very difficult time.

They were extremely sensitive to our needs and we're flexible to help ensure we got to properly say goodbye to my mum.

They helped us to arrange a Thai Bhuddist ceremony and observe cultural traditions that would have meant a lot to my mum.

The standard of communication was excellent. We recieved regular updates on things and helped us to figure out how best to celebrate my mum's life.

I am very appreciative of everything they did for us.
