I have a wide experience of working with funeral directors and found the corporate approach of Dignity Funerals to be lacking the personal touch and attention to detail which is normally given by independent funeral directors in the making of arrangements. The funeral director on the day was excellent.

Excellent, professional, and organised. Chris and Will at the East Grinstead Branch, supported us through the planning process, and through Dad's viewing. They were excellent at accepting my black sense of humour and we could often have a laugh about things, which I sorely needed to get me through. Cannot thank you enough for that. Thank you for the lovely memory keepsake book and box, It is much treasured and full of memories of Dad. Big thank you too, to embalmer Vanessa, who made Dad look so dignified and at peace, you did an excellent job, and it mean't I could see Dad one more time, in the chapel of rest. The day of my Father Peters' Funeral, 14.08.2026, everything ran like clockwork, Funeral Director on the day Adam did an excellent job, as did our limo driver Bert, and the pall bearers, it was perfect, the best send off is what my Father got. We cannot thank you all enough. A credit to your profession, all of you. We would strongly recommend your services. A shout out to Independent Celebrant Anita, who was fantastic on the day, and in the run up to the day, gave a beautiful Eulogy to Dad, and read our choice of poems perfectly. Would highly recommend her services also.

Chappell and Rice were wonderful. This was the first time I had to deal with something like this, and they handled everything so well, from the first call, the first meeting and right through until my dear mothers funeral, and beyond. Nothing was ever too much trouble, every call and dealing I had with Kim Montague was so kind, courteous and professional. The level of sensitivity to what I, and my family were going through was exemplary. She is a credit to her company. I am extremely grateful that Chappell & Rice were the Funeral Directors. Also, I would like to mention Paul, who handled the actual day of my mother’s Funeral, he was perfect.
