Patricia Blacker was born on 8th January 1929 to Terence and Winifred Kirby. The following year she was joined by her sister Winnie.
When Patricia was 5, their mum Winifred died of bowel cancer. The girls were placed in a convent in Middlesbrough, returning home when their father remarried.
Patricia lived a normal life until leaving home at the age of 16 to join domestic service at a private house for two years, leaving there to work as a live in housemaid for a further three years. She then met her future husband John (Jack) Blacker at a youth club and married in 1950.
Patricia leaves behind a family of two children, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was a wonderful mother and will be sadly missed.
