It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Daws, a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend, who left us peacefully on the 10th July 2024.
John was happiest with a paintbrush in his hand. His painting and decorating skills, often put to good use by his late wife Joyce, were truly exceptional. For John, there was no such word as 'retirement'. He found joy in every stroke, every wall transformed, and every smile that his work brought to others.
After losing his beloved Joyce in March 2017, John lovingly took over where she had left off in their cherished garden. While Joyce had a special talent for creating beautiful landscapes and nurturing flowers, John found his own delight in growing vegetables. His legendary tomatoes were a testament to his dedication and green thumb, a source of pride and joy for the entire family.
John enjoyed pottering in his garden, spending precious moments with his family, and sharing laughs and stories with his wonderful neighbours, who always kept a close eye on him. The family is forever grateful for their care and companionship.
John's love for life was evident in every aspect of his daily routine. His bungalow and garden were his sanctuary, where he found peace and fulfilment.
John's legacy will live on in the vibrant colours he brought into our lives, the delicious vegetables he shared, and the warm loving memories we all hold dear. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
